1. Haikko Manor
Haikko Manor & Spa Hotel is one of the most romantic destinations in Porvoo. The old historic manor is surrounded by ancient trees, glittering sea, and rocky forests, which Albert Edelfelt, among others, has immortalised in his paintings.
Here you can enjoy the spa services and a several activities, like guided exercise, live music, and theatre in the summer. The evening can finished off with a glass of fizz in the manor bar or on the terrace.
The history of the manor goes back to 1362, when it belonged to the Dominican monastery of Vyborg. Over the centuries, the manor has been several dominant families, and in 1871 it was sold to Sebastian von Etter, who served in Alexander II’s army. Famous guests of the manor have included Mannerheim, J. L. Runeberg, and Edelfelt, who fell in love with Haikko’s landscapes so that he built a summer atelier near the manor.

There is plenty of both splendour and drama in the history of the manor: it has burned five times and has always risen to a new bloom.
In 2026 we celebrate our 60th anniversary. Since 1966, Haikko has been home to a hotel and restaurant with celebrations, relaxation, and enjoying life. During the anniversary, Haikko will feature theme weekends, exclusive offers, and experiences. Welcome to celebrate,’ says Hotel Director Marja-Liisa Karhu.
