Welcome to visit Metsätähti day care centre!

Metsätähti is a new day-care centre in a central location in Porvoo, close to nature. Metsätähti offers early childhood education and care in Finnish and Swedish to children aged 1 to 6 years old.

In Metsätähti, it is emphasized that each day a child spends in day care should be as good as possible. This means that everything is done to increase and support the child’s well-being and development.

Every day spent in early childhood education should also include plenty of play and exercise – both indoors and outdoors. And the opportunity to be creative, curious and explore new things with other children of the same age.

Metsätähti is the biggest day care centre in Porvoo with a total of ten early childhood education groups and approximately 180 children altogether.

The new, modern and spacious wooden kindergarten building was completed at the end of 2021. The basis for the design of this new day-care building made of wood was to create a safe and healthy environment for children to grow. 

The new building is part of a larger set of wooden buildings that will be built in the “Länsiranta” area of ​​Porvoo in the next few years.
