Arvo Pärt 90 years! Concert in Porvoo cathedral

The summer concert series at Porvoo Cathedral begins on June 12 at 7:00 PM with music by Arvo Pärt. The Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is perhaps the most well-known and popular living contemporary composer, and he turns 90 this year.
Pärt’s harmonic, simple, and spiritual compositional style appeals to many. Though seemingly simple, his music is profound and touches the listener deeply.
Performing at the concert are the Finnish Chamber Choir conducted by Eric-Olof Söderström and organist Anne Hätönen.
